question about breast pumps!! manual or electric?

i used a manual (avent pump)with my 1st baby but i would like to go electric for my 2nd bub.
what did you prefer?
and what brand is better?

Electric by far. I originally bought the Avent pump, broke it, broke another, and then gave up. I got a Medela "Pump in Style" that lasted through three babies all breastfed for over a year. It’s still going strong. You will not even believe the difference. It is more comfortable, quicker, and just plain works better…it’s also way easier to clean. Good luck!

yeah the electic ones are a little less work than a manual pump.
I’d say the electric is better. I use a Medela pump and have had no issues with it thus far.
I too used a manual pump that was given to me by the hospital, but it was too time consuming and was on a budget to buy an electrical pump. I found one at WalMart for $150 and it worked very well. It was a Lansinoh-Lightweight Double Electric Breast Pump. I used it for 5 consecutive months and it still works well.
I pump exclusively and I much prefer the electric one. I have a medela mini-electric it costs about $140 and it comes with the electric piece and the manual pump, also it can be battery opperated too for if you need to pump in the car or something. Hope this helps!
Medela is the best in my opinion but the cost is high too.
I have used several electric pumps, in my opinion Medela is by far the best and these are usually the ones that WIC uses. If you qualify for WIC it is totally worth getting for the pump alone because they will loan you one for free for several months. If you don’t qualify for WIC you could try renting a few differant kinds before you take the plunge and spend around $200 on a quality pump.
I have a Medela Swing Pump. I can take it anywhere and get 5 ounces in 10-15 min. It is awesome. It is the only pump I will use! It’s electric.
i used advent manual for 6month with my first coz he was tongue tied and couldn’t latch on
now with my second im using the same one, i thought it was the best and u control the pumping.
