Yes. Avent bottles do contain BPA.
No, I haven’t heard that. I used Avent with my baby and they’re really good bottles to use.
the employee at babies r us told me they do contain BPA. I do not know for sure though.
Everybody uses this bottles, I personally didnt liked them.
i used them and heard for sure that they do contain BPA
Avent bottles have BPA, however the plastic liners they sell do not.
ALL PLASTIC BOTTLES HAVE BPA. It’s a byproduct of plastic. Use glass ones.
hmm interesting. I’d heard that all bottles made in uk do not contain it as they are made from a less problematic plastic. Avent are made in uk, or so the bottle i’m looking at says.
I think you just have to avoid microwaving them and you’ll be fine.
It depends, reusable Avent bottles contain BPA (ones you wash/sterilize). However, their Tempo nursers (bottles with disposable liners) as well as their VIA disposable bottles are BPA free.
Not all plastics contain BPA - generally only the clear, hard plastics do. All Born-Free, Dr. Browns Glass, Even-flo Glass, Playtex drop-in nursers, MAM utilivent, most NUBY, and some Gerber bottles (fashion tints, gentle flow, & clear view), are BPA free. There’s probably some more out there - they’re usually labeled on the packaging itself.
As for using the Ameda bottles (I think these have BPA in them) with the breast pump, I don’t know if you’re planning on using the Purely Yours breast pump but if you are, you can use the Lasinoh Breastmilk storage bottles (BPA free) - they are exactly the same pump, just re-marketed under two brands and should be compatible with each other. Also, Medela’s bottles are all BPA free as well
Hope this helps.
The Bailey bottles (which are BPA-free) are interchangeable with the Ameda bottles. I used both with the Ameda pump. Also, Evenflo, just baught Ameda, and I believe their new BPA free bottles will also fit in place of Ameda bottles.
