Best electric breast pump and why?
Hi,
I am going to have my baby in about 10 weeks and am looking at breast pumps as I intend to breast feed and express also. I have looked at breast pumps and want to use an electric one as it is meant to be quicker and more efficient - but don’t know which one to buy. I’m currently looking at the Avent IQ Isis Uno for about £80 and the Medela Swing Pump for about £80.
Can you tell me if you have tried either and if so what you think of them? I really don’t want to spend that sort of money only to find perhaps I should have gone for a different one!
Thank you v much.

i researched a lot and got the medela, which was great, although expressing was a right pain and i could never get enough to go back to work whilst feeding. anyway, try ebay as you can get them second hand (don’t worry, you sterilise them!) which saves a bundle!
Medela swing is the best one., I have that one (Don’t know about Avent but a friend said was not very good) all my friends have the Medela and haven’t heard any complain.

Hi,
I personally used an avent a manual pump and got along with it great.
If you contact your local maternity ward or La Leche League group they will often hire machines out to use for the first few weeks so youcan tyr tem out before buying.
