AVENT Breast pump not working; any tips?

It’s the small model and was working fine until yesterday, when all of a sudden it lost suction. I"ve taken it apart and cleaned it, and even tried putting a strong rubber band around the gasket, but nothing works. Is there a trick to this or do I have to go buy a new one? Many thanks…

What rubber band? Mine doesn’t use a rubberband.
This is hard to describe….do you have that little white plastic thing in the exact proper place??? if not, it won’t work… I had that problem.
Avent is the best pump I ever had.
You need a new one.
