Another breast pump question?
With so many brands I am still stumped I asked previously about the Ameda vs Avent and got many responces praising teh Ameda purely yours. But I have a two part question
1. What about the Playtex Embrace?
2. Have any of you used pumps that have the breast sheilds or areola massagers with them?
I have noticed that the Avent and Playtex come with them and they both tout comfort.
I can get the Ameda with them if I order from healthchecksystems.com (way cheaper than retail) for free and free shipping. Both Ameda and Avent are similar in price
But the Playtex is about cheaper.
Before I spend 164-239 I want to know what you think of them and if the stimulators are worth it
1. I can buy on ebay the purely yours with backpack for 209 but without the stimulators (mimics babys sucking) or online site for 229 with them
2. Or the avent for 239 comes with them
3 Or the playtex embrace for 165 which comes with them.
I refuse to buy a used pump no matter what extras are included or how cheap it is. It is new or nothing
This choice is final once I buy one it can’t be returned if I don’t like it. So I need all the advice I can get
I plan to work full-time and will be breastfeeding for a full year so I need a pump that can stand this test of time

Don’t worry about all the bells and whistles. just get a quality pump. there is no need to spend hundreds of dollars.
i really liked my pump and it wasn’t too pricey. It is made by First Years. I don’t remember the model, but it was an electric pump that came in a travel bag.
Playtex is a respectable brand. i’m sure it will be fine.
buy which u feel is better for you.. and u feel comfortable using it..
I have the Avent Isis. It has the insert ‘petals’ that mimic baby nursing to allow let-down to occur faster, but personally, I didn’t like that part of it. Milk would back up into it and leak. BUT that is removable and you don’t have to use it. Works just great without it. I get 8 oz. per session when pumping on a good day…but 6 oz. regularly. I pump about every 3 to 4 hours while working part-time (12 hour shifts).
