I have some avent baby bottle teats and breast pump. SOme of the parts are a bit cloudy / discoloured. I think they are made of latex. I there any way that I can get them looking like new again? Would bi - carb do the trick? Thanks for any help.

i am 33 weeks pregnant and i got a avent hand held breast pump. i have quite a bit of colostrum and i sometimes even leak it. i tried the pump the other night just because i was curious, and i did get about 3 tablespoons of colostrum. it hurt SO badly! my nipple was swollen for about an hour and a half after playing around with the pump.

my question is, did anyone else try out their breast pump before giving birth? what was your experience using it before giving birth and after giving birth? did it hurt as bad after?

Breast Pump Recommendations?

I’d love some input from other breastfeeding/pumping moms as I’m getting ready to go back to work. I would especially love comparisons among different double electric pumps you’ve tried, either owned or rented. Even more helpful would be anyone that doesn’t respond well to the pump, but found one that works. I previously owned an Ameda Purely Yours (6 years ago) with iffy results, and I am now renting a Lactina. I am trying to decide if I want to buy a Medela Pump in Style Advanced, Avent Isis Duo, rent a Symphony, or keep renting the Lactina. Thanks!

My lousy items list:
Manual breast pump
Lamaze Spin and Explore Garden Gym
Philips Avent Isis Manual Breast Pump (the worst & cruelest item ever made for any mother!)
Lower back support belt during pregnancy
Walker
Bumbo chair
I agree: the bottle warmer is completely useless. Its faster if you use a hotter cup of water. the baby carrier, baby room thermometer, baby monitor/radio all were waste of $ as well.

Avent instructions suggest sterilizing all breast pumping equipment before each use. For those who pump more than once at work or when traveling - do you always sterilize your equipment between pumps or wash it without sterilizing it? I’ve read some references that suggest the latter is ok if you use the milk within a week.

a new insulated thermos bottle warmer and an Avent cool bag (keeps bottles cool for up to 4 hours) and two brand new in packet tommee tippee orthodontic soothers

i am selling these on ebay and just wondering how much i might expect to get? thanks

the pump is the Avent ISIS iQ UNO electronic breast pump and has only been used a couple of times (plus accessories to use it as a manual pump) Plus 2 Avent bottles
if you look on ebay, used breast pumps are actually quite popular at selling, if they are sterilised then there cant possibly be any germs!

breastfeeding & want to pump?

i need to build up a supply of milk in the freezer for when i go back to school next semester, but i’m afraid to pump because i just dont know anything about it.

i have an avent isis manual breast pump, but i havent tried it.
