Avent or Playtex Drop In Bottles?

I’m gonna breastfeed and pump so I’m using bottles as I want my husband to experience feeding our baby also. Which brand would you recommend? Thanks!

question about breast pumps!! manual or electric?

i used a manual (avent pump)with my 1st baby but i would like to go electric for my 2nd bub.
what did you prefer?
and what brand is better?

Manual expressser - Avent ISIS?

Has anyone used a hand expresser to express their milk, in paticular the avent isis as i am thinking of buying this when my baby is born as i think it would be a whole lot easier to express my milk and have it ready rather than try and get my bub to latch on and then the pain of faililng and having cracked nipples etc,. i thought it may be best to go straight on to breast pump?

Another breast pump question?

With so many brands I am still stumped I asked previously about the Ameda vs Avent and got many responces praising teh Ameda purely yours. But I have a two part question
1. What about the Playtex Embrace?
2. Have any of you used pumps that have the breast sheilds or areola massagers with them?
I have noticed that the Avent and Playtex come with them and they both tout comfort.
I can get the Ameda with them if I order from healthchecksystems.com (way cheaper than retail) for free and free shipping. Both Ameda and Avent are similar in price
But the Playtex is about cheaper.
Before I spend 164-239 I want to know what you think of them and if the stimulators are worth it
1. I can buy on ebay the purely yours with backpack for 209 but without the stimulators (mimics babys sucking) or online site for 229 with them
2. Or the avent for 239 comes with them
3 Or the playtex embrace for 165 which comes with them.
I refuse to buy a used pump no matter what extras are included or how cheap it is. It is new or nothing
This choice is final once I buy one it can’t be returned if I don’t like it. So I need all the advice I can get
I plan to work full-time and will be breastfeeding for a full year so I need a pump that can stand this test of time

buying a breast pump?

Warning!
do NOT buy AVENT products, customer service sucks. Agents are rude, condescending, and liars!

I’ve ordered a new piece for my pump over 3 weeks age - replacement piece was not able to produce any suction - Representatives told me a new piece was in the mail TWICE - when I called today to inquire about my piece I was told that it just went out TODAY (not 10 days ago like it was supposed to). Now I am FORCED to go ANOTHER 10 days without a breast pump and company REFUSES to issue a refund.
I’ve gone 3 weeks without a breastpump and for many new moms; this is NOT something that we can sit around and leisurly wait for.

please beware.
Anyone else have problems with Avent?

How do you label a bottle?

I pump my breast milk when I’m full & store in my refrigerator to use to mix with solid food. I use Avent bottles & I used to put tiny scotch magic tape & write the date on it. Since I’ve done it so many times, the bottle’s messy with the tape residues. I can’t take them off completely. How do you label the date on your bottle?
sorry… I thought I asked on Newborn & baby category…

I’m going to induce lactation so that I can breastfeed my adopted baby. I need help picking a pump, and supplementer. I’m stuck between the Avent and Ameda. I’m also trying to choose between a Medela supplementer and the Lact-Aid supplementer. Please tell me the cons of the products, and any other suggestions about induced lactation or adoptive breastfeeding you may be able to share. Thanks!!

He doesnt likes Dr. browns. So im planning to buy avent but i have read lot of reviews saying it leaks a lott. So what will work better for my baby??

How do I introduce a bottle to a breastfed baby?

My not-quite 7 wk old daughter is exclusively breastfed (except for the formula she had during the 3 days she spent in the NICU when she was a newborn). I got a manual pump so that I could leave her alone with her daddy sometimes, and I pumped 4 oz today and gave it to him to give her a bottle. She took 2 oz then started crying hysterically and insisted on nursing for the rest of her feeding. We tried 2 different bottle/nipple combinations (Avent and Playtex Drop-ins), but she still won’t take it. How do I get her to eat from a bottle so I can leave the house occasionally??
