I’m planning to breast feed my baby, but would like to have a pump also so my husband can feed sometimes too, etc. The link shows the one I like.
1. Should I get some other bottles besides the 2 it comes with?
2. Do I need milk storage bags?
3. And how long does it take to fill a bottle with a manual pump?
4. Will my arm get tired pumping, or is it like a cyphon and once it gets going it’ll just come out on its own?
5. Why do most registries I see say I should register for ‘breast shields’? What are those?
6. Would I need a bottle warmer, or how else could I get frozen breast milk to room temp in the middle of the night?
Thanks for your answers. I’m clueless!

I understand that I’ll be using it multiple times/day. I am wondering how often you need to sterilize your breast pump? Is it between every single use or at least once/day?…….I will be using the Avent Isis iQ Duo Breast Pump. Thanks for the help.

What is the best one to get them started with? I breastfeed mostly. I bought a couple of Nuby ones that look easy to hold. She is holding her bottle well and uses Avent bottles when I pump.

Hi, i have a four week old daughter and i prefer to express and give her my milk in bottle form. so that means expressing as often as she feeds or more. I am currentley using an avent manual pump but it isnt really doing the trick. I also use avent bottles and serilizer.. etc…
so i am unsure whether to get a medala pump (ive heard they are the best) or avent (for convenience of not changing bottles etc). i would like to get a double pump.
if you have tried either or both of the two types what is your opinion on them?

My milk supply has decreased. Does expressing milk give the same effect as the baby sucking motion? I want to buy Avent electric breast pump. Is it a good idea coz I dont want to stop feeding her.

I am exclusively breastfeeding my 6 weeks old baby but I am struggling to get some milk out. I definitely have milk as my baby is putting on weight, looks very very full after each feed, has milk dripping from her cheek after each feed.
I have an AVENT manual breast pump so where could I be going wrong?

I have an Avent Manual Breast pump and at first it worked well but the little white valve type part (the part that is the size of a 5c coin) pops through the hole while I am pumping.
Whilst pumping the pump starts making a sort of creaking noise.
And the white bit pops out.
Anyone have any ideas as to why this may be happening?
Am i doing something wrong?
By the way, I have only been using the pump for two months and have replaced the white bit and the clear rubbery bit with the spares.
thanks

The Madela Swing or Philips Avent Isis? and why? I am down to these two, and I would like to hear about experiences with them, as they are not cheap!

I plan on going all breast for the first month or so, but want to get a pump to help with my milk production and to save milk for other people to feed my baby. I can either rent one from the hospital which will be for first two months, then /month after that, buy the Medela New Pump In Style Original Breast Pump
for 249.99 or Avent ISIS iQ UNO Complete Breast Pump
for 199.99. Which option is best? Or do you know of another pump that is better? I know breastfeeding is difficult, but I want to do it as long as possible. If I rent for 3 months, that’s already 0!!!
