Last time I used the Avent manual one and it worked fine but I am thinking of getting an electric one this time because I have to work. I don’t want to waste money by getting a crappy one because they are so pricey, any suggestions or bad/good experiences? If I can help it I don’t really want to spend too too much!

I bought the Avent breast pump and some 4 or 5 oz. Avent breast milk storage bottles (also the caps and nipples), but I’m wondering when I buy the 9 oz. bottles should I go with BornFree or Avent?
I have heard really good things about both, what do you use?

Does anyone know how I can get a replacement let down massage cushion for the Avent Isis IQ pump? I bought a gently used one off of Ebay, and it was missing that part. I called Avent and that is the only part they will not replace. Nobody is selling that part on ebay either. This is my first baby and I really think that extra part will help. Thanks for your answers!

my son is 8 weeks old, and when i go to work he eats my pumped milk, and i noticed on the avent nipples that i use there is a #1 on them. I know i should use a nipple with 2 hols now that he is 2 months, but do they sell nipples that way or do i poke them myself? We have the Avent Isis pump, so thats why i use the avent bottle, and i like them….

I bought this Medela pump, I really need it once I get back to work which will be very soon. It should be the best retail pump out there, however I am so disappointed. The suction works for a few pumping moves and then it becomes ineffective, there is no milk coming out after that. I have to get my breast out and put it back in all the time to get some milk out of it (I do that after every 3rd pumping move or so). It is so much worse than the Avent pump I have got, however the latter needs more time to start getting the milk out. Once it does, there is a lot of milk coming out. I just cannot take it to work b/c it takes too long.
Any advice on this? Thanks
Yusuf’s mom, do you think sterilising the membranes should have damaged them? It says they should be sterilised though..

I am going to breastfeed but still want to buy a steriliser and breast pump. I ideally want the Tommee Tippee make but I can’t find them where I live in Greece. I have had an Avent microwave sterilser given to me but I don’t like it especially as the water here is very hard and leaves salt deposits. Which type is the best, steam or microave and what are the best makes in your opinion? Thanks for any advice.
Agony Aunt - I wish!!! I am a very healthy DD when I am not pregnant, maybe you could recommend a pump that will make my boobs smaller?
Hi J Lo - Haven’t got a dishwasher, my husband says why bother when we have me!!!!!
